sakihiwe 2021

We've partnered with the sakihiwe festival to bring these incredible community events to our neighbourhoods. Two days of music and live entertainment at local parks, with a free BBQ and family-friendly activities.

The sākihiwē festival, formerly called Aboriginal Music Week, brings music to Indigenous families in Winnipeg so they can participate in the arts without sacrificing their family responsibilities, personal safety, or ability to make ends meet. It's a partnership with other organizations too, like IRCOM, Ka Ni Kanichihk, Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, and Spence Neighbourhood Association.
