Next week marks the beginning of the holiday season, this year we have collectively come together as one community to provide mutual aid and support during these difficult times.

It can be difficult to feel thankful during times like these, but here at Central Neighbourhoods Winnipeg, our appreciation for community is the drive behind everything we do. Coming together is one of the many things we are so thankful for.

We are grateful for our board of directors at Central and Spence Neighbourhoods Association, our staff, volunteers, and community members that make Central the slice of paradise it is. We have spent the past year re-evaluating our accessibility, programming, and services to continue reflecting the communities we serve during these trying times.

We have increased our door service hours, materials provided, workshops, and support networks to continue our stepping towards the community, which you can read about on our website at www.cnwpg.org.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our community partners, local businesses, facilitators, volunteers and partnering organizations who helped foster belonging in our neighbourhoods. From the 55+ Well-being Kits to community care workshops, we are forever grateful for your aid.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside our community. We stand with you and will continue to be a safer space within community.

We would not be here without our amazing community and we are optimistic looking to the year ahead. We will continue to push, grow, unlearn, and relearn and remain accountable to the community we serve.

Help us beat the Goliath that is winter in Winnipeg by donating today to https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/spence-neighbourhood-association-inc/. Select Central Neighbourhoods Winnipeg from the drop down menu and help us create more opportunities in the central neighbourhoods for 2021.
