Facilitators Wanted

The “People Who Love People Who Use Substances” (PWLPWUS) Advisory Committee is seeking facilitators to guide a drop-in support group for friends, family, and loved ones of those who use substances and experience mental health issues.  The committee is seeking a reliable, friendly, and compassionate individuals with lived experience as a caregiver or support person.  No professional experience required! Honorarium, bus tokens, and opportunities for personal development provided.  First drop-in will be held in early June.
Responsibilities include:
– Facilitating conversation with drop-in members
– Conflict resolution skills
– Setting up/cleaning up of space before and after
– Understanding of inclusive spaces, intersectionality, harm reduction practices, and work from a healing-centred and culturally competent practice.
